We require this information to provide you with a contractual service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Hire contract.

  • Hire, Sales, Repairs, Trophies and services you request within our organisation.
  • Informing that goods are ready to collect or completed.
  • To deliver equipment and service to you and or your premises / sites.
  • Pay Suppliers and use their services.
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.

Does the company share personal information with third parties?

  • When contracting work to outside specialists services, of which Altis will contact you (customer’) directly and provide this information at point of handover.
  • Our online services for delivery purpose only.
  • Warranty / Guarantee registration with your consent.

How and where we hold / store your information

  • Our ‘database’ information is held securely on premises, with password protection on every communicating PC and firewalled Server.
  • Backups of ‘database’ take place yearly of which a secure copy is kept with
  • Paper copies, are filed and secured within office areas. All workstations cleared on an ‘end of day’ basis.

How long we retain your information.

  • Invoices, customer or supplier due to HMRC legal requirements will be held securely for 7 years from invoice date.
  • Hire, Sales, Repair & trophies ‘database’ documents 5 years.
  • Account application forms indefinitely whilst account active, then 3 years.
  • Hire, Sales, Repair & trophies paper documents 2 years.
  • Data related to PAYE, maternity pay or SMP will be kept for 3 years according to HMRC.

 Controlling your personal information – Privacy rights

  • Our Hire, credit facilities & Trade accounts will not be available to customers who do not wish us to collect data required to fulfil our service(s) – Cash basis only available for service(s) which permit this.
  • You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:
  • Your right to erase information will be available with prior written consent please contact [email protected] of which we will comply within one month, our commitment to keep your records up to date is ongoing we would appreciate notice of when changes take place. ‘Subject to document retention periods’.
  • We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.
