Hire

Delivery and Collection Service

Altis offer a delivery and collection service which is calculated on the destination of the delivery. (Minimum delivery charge of £10 applies).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Whilst every effort will be made to fulfil customers’ requirements, delivery of certain items cannot be guaranteed before 10.00am.
  • Customers requiring items before this time are advised to obtain them the previous day.
  • Half day hire rates will only be applicable with hire equipment that is collected.
  • If Altis deliver and/or collect the equipment, the minimum hire period is one day.

SAFETY & INSURANCE INFORMATION

CODE OF CONDUCT

Altis are members of the Hire Association of Europe (HAE) and fully comply with HAE’s Code of Conduct and safety measures programme which includes the servicing and testing of equipment before it is hired out, demonstrating the equipment if required and offering safety advice to customers. A copy of the full Code of Conduct is available to customers on request.

YOUR SAFETY

Safety statements will be made at intervals after each section defining what additional safety precautions should be used when hiring the equipment. Written instructions on the correct and safe use of equipment are issued with items hired and we strongly recommend that these are read by the user of the hired item. Verbal instructions will also be given if requested. The use of an Residual Current Device (RCD) circuit breaker is strongly recommended when using any item of 230v supply. A safety pack containing gloves, goggles, and earplugs will be offered with each hire.

INSURANCE

Customers are strongly urged to insure against loss or damage of hired equipment. Items not returned will be charged for at full cost of replacement and hire will continue until settlement has been made. It is the hirer’s responsibility to insure equipment against damage or loss. Altis are able to remove your responsibility for loss of larger hire equipment typically in excess of £3,000 purchase value.
