This Kidde HomeProtect Smoke Alarm uses optical sensor technology and is ideal for use in the kitchen. Detects both smoke and carbon monoxide in a single alarm, its sensors interact to distinguish between non-harmful cooking fumes or steam and real fires, reducing nuisance alarms. Powered by a sealed-in 10-year lithium battery that lasts the full life of the alarm and never needs replacing. When activated, the alarm has a loud 85 decibel alert. It is simple and easy to install thanks to its single screw mounting bracket.
With a hush button feature that lets you silence nuisance alarms and a test button with LED for simple verification of continual battery and alarm operation. Integrated alarm memory will let you know if the alarm has sounded since it was last tested or re-set with a rapid flashing LED alert . Also has a handy end of life warning feature that chirps when the alarm has reached end of life and needs replacing.
